Marcus was born in 1957 in the midst of the Tyrolean Alps in Austria. In 1969 he started playing guitar, later followed by the flute and ocarinas.

1978 marked an important year, when Marcus embarked on his first India trip over the old silk road land route, starting on a bus in Athens Greece, leading through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan to the Indian North-West.

At first he was roaming the Himalayas meeting Sadhus and learning from them. Later living in Goa during the winter months. Walking and hitchhiking through South India, embracing the Indian culture on a deep level, slowly getting into Yoga and becoming more and more interested in singing Kirtan or Bhajans.

From 1985 on Marcus was mostly living in the US California, Oregon and Hawaii and started practising Yoga on regular basis, also leading Bhajan circles in the Eugene Yoga Centre in Oregon.

In 1991 Marcus completed his Yoga-Teacher-Training-Course in South India at the Sivananda Centre in Nayyar Dam followed by 10 years of extensive travelling through India, the US, Greece and Australia visiting Rainbow Gatherings and many other events where he shared his knowledge of Yoga and Music.

From 2000 on Marcus spent a longer time period in Tirol Austria, making a living by teaching Yoga in some well known 5 star ★★★★★ resorts near his hometown. In this period he also got into "Ashtanga Yoga" as taught by Pattabhi Jois in Mysore.

In 2010 Marcus started travelling extensively again, leading him back to India, but also Thailand and Bali. Teaching Yoga in Goa, at Danny Paradises Jungle Yoga retreats in Thailand, the Bali Spirit Festival, Barcelona Yoga Conference, Geneva Yoga & Music Festival and many many more...
