π Happy you found your way here...
This website is all about Yoga, Music (Bhajans, Kirtan, Mantras) and my extensive Travels to many destinations around the globe π
So let me take you with me on this exiting journey of stretching, breathing, singing and meditation. I guarantee, you will love what I have to offer.
I like to roam the areas I am visiting. Taking a deep look at the world around me - in conjunction with music - fills my life with tremendous joy and satisfaction.
In 1978, when I entered "India" for the first time in my life, I was greeted with places I would nowadays describe as garden Eden. "Heavenly", "peaceful" and "divine" are my descriptions that come closest to what it really was.
Me feeling at home with the foreign surrounding, being in the "now", walking the endless and empty sand strips of Anjuna Beach Goa, hardly any other humans around.
Almost impossible to imagine these days ... paradise back than.
Soaking up the Indian culture, I soon came in touch with Yoga and in 1991 I successfully finished my Teachers Training Course at the Sivananda Center in Neyyar Dam (South India), throwing me on the teaching side of Yoga, which has continued to this day.
Since then hundreds and hundreds of students have joined my classes worldwide and I have also been privileged to work with many great Yoga Teachers at the most prestigious events around the globe both as a Trainer, Co-Trainer or Musician.
Which brings me to the other significant side of Yoga, namely the musical one.
Kirtan, Bajans and Mantras are deeply embedded in Bhakti Yoga and since the age of twelve my guitar, flutes and ocarinas have never left my side. Each and every day I practice my skills on various instruments to keep my mind sharp and exited.
βSinging Bhajans or Kirtan is a great way to connect with the devine β it is a bit like Pranayama. It makes you breath deeply and takes you to the here and now!β
Over the past thirty years I have done my best to keep the old traditions of Hatha Yoga alive teaching it to students all over the world the old fashioned way, stretching and strengthening not only our bodies but also our minds.
